CES 2025 cemented its reputation as a global hub for technology innovation, attracting over 141,000 attendees, 4,500 exhibitors, and more than 6,000 media professionals.

From advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing to energy-efficient technologies and sustainable solutions, CES showcased the technologies driving global progress.

Electronic Specifier took centre stage at the event, conducting video interviews with top electronics companies to delve into the cutting-edge innovations shaping the industry.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning

AI played a leading role at CES 2025, with companies such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Siemens demonstrating solutions for industries ranging from healthcare to mobility. NVIDIA unveiled its GeForce RTX 50 series and showcased Agentic AI; a real-time assistant designed to enhance productivity. AI also featured in robotics, with applications in logistics, manufacturing, and smart cities gaining traction.

Digital health and wearable tech

The Venetian venue highlighted the seamless integration of health technology into smart living. From wearable devices to remote diagnostics, exhibitors like Abbott and ResMed showcased how electronics are transforming healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes. Telehealth platforms and AI-powered diagnostic tools were key trends, underscoring the role of electronics in enhancing wellness.

Energy transition

The rise of energy-intensive technologies such as AI and data centres has driven the demand for sustainable energy solutions. CES 2025 featured innovations in energy storage, green hydrogen, and off-grid renewables. Companies like Eaton and Jackery showcased advanced battery technologies and modular energy solutions, providing pathways to a more sustainable energy future.

Mobility and automation

From electric vehicles (EVs) to autonomous solutions, CES 2025 highlighted the ongoing transformation of mobility. Companies like Bosch, Mobileye, and Waymo demonstrated advanced sensors, control systems, and software solutions, while OEMs such as BMW and Honda revealed next-generation EV models. Automated industrial machinery and robotics also drew attention for their potential to improve efficiency and safety in construction and agriculture.

Quantum technology

Companies like IonQ and Quandela showcased quantum innovations poised to revolutionise fields such as logistics, materials science, and telecommunications. The convergence of quantum and AI technologies promised unprecedented computational power for complex problem-solving.

Sustainability in electronics

Sustainability remained a key theme, with exhibitors like Lyten and Panasonic presenting electronics solutions designed to reduce environmental impact. Innovations included graphene-based batteries, bioplastics, and self-healing materials, highlighting how electronics can contribute to a circular economy.

The role of startups
