The September issue of Electronic Specifier Design is a European Microwave Week special, containing all the information you need to navigate the busy hallways of the show.

EuMW promises to deliver and cover topics which whet the appetite of anyone engaged in the RF and microwave industry. There will be conferences boasting world-class presenters as well as an exhibition populated by more than 300 exhibitors.

This issue is your go-to guide for the show as it contains key information on what to expect each day, as well as key products and companies that will be exhibiting.

You can pick up your own print copy of ESD September in the press area!

The issue also contains the regular Test & Measurement section, brought to you by Contributing Editor Mick Elliott. Here, you’ll find articles on testing Open RAN compatible devices, accelerated RF-component testing for greater production efficiency, and what the next big thing in 5G is.

Also, the regular Power section, brought to you by Contributing Editor Caroline Hayes, contains features on tried and tested power sourcing and progressive power supplies.

Electronic Specifier’s own Kristian McCann has also written an exclusive feature for this issue on why RFOF means wired communication still has a place in military applications. He spoke with Meir Bartur, Co-Founder and CEO of Optical Zonu on why it’s important not to lose sight of the fundamentals of how a military force operates – especially as technology such as AI, drones, and cyber advances are being utilised in militaries around the world.

You’ll also find an interesting article by Peter Lo, Head of Onshore Renewables and Storage at ITPEnergised about the transformative power of electric vehicles in helping achieve net zero emissions. EVs and a corresponding comprehensive network of charging infrastructure powered by both onshore and offshore renewables are a great step forward towards achieving net zero emissions.

The Women in Tech column this issue was written by Amanda Lieu, Director of Brand, Product Marketing, and Growth at SEON. She speaks about why fincrime prevention needs more women to thrive.

Finally, in her Editor’s Comment, Managing Editor Paige West takes a close look at the Lionesses and what women in technology can learn from their determination, inspiration, and success.
