EC Electronics acquires Swan EMS
EC Electronics is pleased to announce the acquisition of Swan EMS from owners Simon Williams and Adrian Nicholls.
With the support of Rockpool Investments, EC Electronics is following a strategy of long-term growth by acquisition. Adding Swan EMS to the group represents a significant step forward in these plans.
The synergies between these two businesses are strong, and Swan’s established foothold in the UK manufacturing market will complement EC’s existing structure.
This newly enlarged group will offer customers an enhanced selection of services and technical support, including cable assembly, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and electronics box build.
Phil Simmonds, CEO of EC Electronics, said: "I believe that the EC group is the perfect home for Swan. We are wholly dedicated to our electronics manufacturing services (EMS), and the addition of Swan will allow us to increase our cable assembly and box build capacity.
"At EC Electronics, we believe there is excellent potential for the growth of mid-sized cable assembly and electronics box build specialists in the UK and mainland Europe. Adding Swan to the EC group will significantly strengthen its UK capabilities.
"Swan’s excellent reputation for quality and customer service has contributed to the business’ recent growth. We hope to build on this and support the continued development of Swan in the coming years."
Swan EMS will continue operating as an independent business from its existing premises in Abertillery under the current management team.
EC Electronics was established in 1984 and offers end-to-end manufacturing services, including PCB assembly, cable assembly, electronics box build, low-pressure overmoulding, electronic design, supply chain services and product realisation.
