Digi-Key adds 1.5 million CAD models to aid engineers
Digi-Key Electronics is collaborating with SnapEDA, to provide over 1.5 million verified and high-quality symbols, footprints, and 3D models for Digi-Key parts.
Once engineers have found and purchased components for their designs, the next step is to find CAD models for these components.
With this collaboration, engineers can access SnapEDA’s high quality CAD models directly on Digi-Key’s website, further streamlining their design flow.
SnapEDA differentiates itself in the market with its focus on quality, innovation, and user experience. Just this year, SnapEDA’s verification technology - which is used to vet the quality of each model - was granted a patentby the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
“Our users love using Digi-Key to find and purchase parts, and they’ve told us they want better integration with SnapEDA models,” said Natasha Baker, CEO & Founder of SnapEDA. “By providing CAD models right when engineers are exploring components on the Digi-Key website, we can further streamline the design flow to help better serve engineers.”
"We’ve been working with SnapEDA since 2017. They have been a great partner for Digi-Key, dedicated to providing engineers with high quality part models. We’re excited to continue growing the collaboration," said Cody Walseth, Digital Product Owner at Digi-Key. "Our goal is to offer the parts and resources our customers need so they can spend more time on innovation and design.”
