Cypress Semiconductor bolsters EBV Elektronik linecard
Cypress Semiconductor has joined the EBV Elektronik linecard following its acquisition by Infineon.

The Infineon range available from EBV now includes the Cypress family of Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) solutions, the Traveo MCU family based on Arm Cortex-R5, and connectivity components from the IoT Compute and Wireless business unit, as well as a range of high-performance Flash and RAM memory devices.
The acquisition, which positioned Infineon as one of the world’s top 10 semiconductor manufacturers, now gives EBV customers access to a comprehensive portfolio of proven hardware, software and security solutions for the connected age. This, in turn, will strengthen EBV's customers’ position in their end markets and enable growth, especially in the automotive, industrial and IoT sectors.
As a franchised partner of Infineon Technologies, the scope of products offered by EBV encompasses power semiconductors, automotive microcontrollers, sensors and security solutions.
The Cypress products complement this portfolio, adding the popular and unique PSoC, Traveoand FMx MCU families, along with its highly specialised memory products based on NOR, SRAM and F-RAM technology, optimised for high-growth applications.
