Crystal Display Systems (CDS) is addressing the industry's growing challenges of rising costs, prolonged lead times, and the implementation of Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) for Panel PC components.

As these issues persist, CDS remains dedicated to offering customers the best possible pricing and delivery times through strategic planning and collaboration.

Manufacturers have reported significant increases in costs and lead times for key components used in Panel PCs, touchscreens, and display systems. These supply chain disruptions are expected to last for at least the next six months. In response, CDS is proactively optimising stock levels and managing customer expectations effectively.

To tackle these challenges, CDS is encouraging customers to engage in precise forecasting and long-term planning. By providing accurate forecasts and placing orders with fixed dates, customers can help CDS allocate resources more efficiently, ensuring smoother production and supply chain management.

Steps for Customers:

  1. Accurate Forecasting: Submit detailed and accurate forecasts of your requirements to aid in resource allocation

  2. Long-term Planning: Place orders with fixed dates and plan your forecasts for the long term to help our factories manage capacity and raw material procurement effectively

“Our goal was to develop a high-quality product that offers flexibility in design, rapid market readiness, and competitive pricing. We have successfully achieved all three," said Chris Bartram, Managing Director at CDS. "Most of our solutions are either semi or fully bespoke, ensuring that CDS clients receive exactly what they need. Our panel PCs are used by clients in some of the harshest environments, including outdoor kiosks, mining, and medical applications.
