Navitas Semiconductor’s Gene Sheridan finalist for Entrepreneur Of The Year

Celebrating its 38th year, the 'Entrepreneur Of The Year' programme is recognised as the premier competitive business award for leaders who are bold in their approaches, pioneering sectors, and making a significant impact on society. For four decades, the award has celebrated entrepreneurs who bring revolutionary ideas and actions that significantly reshape our world.

Sheridan was chosen as a finalist by an independent panel of judges, who assessed him based on his ability to build long-term value by demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, along with other key contributions and qualities.

“We are at a pivotal time in our planet’s energy transformation, and this recognition from EY highlights the importance of Navitas’ mission to ‘Electrify Our World’ and exploit a $1.3T opportunity as we accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy,” said Sheridan. “Next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors enable fast, efficient, and sustainable ultra-fast charging and power delivery in AI datacentres, advanced EVs, mobile, solar, and industrial applications. The Entrepreneur Of The Year programme honours a diverse range of business leaders for their creativity, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit. The award recognises various types of business innovators, from founders who started and scaled their companies independently or with outside capital, to transformative CEOs who brought new life to existing companies, and leaders of multigenerational family businesses who revitalised their operations for future success.

Regional award winners will be unveiled on June 13, 2024, during a special event at The Beverly Hills Hotel, where they will join the prestigious global network of Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni. These regional winners will then advance to the national stage, where they will be considered for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards to be presented in November at the annual Strategic Growth Forum, a notable event for high-growth, market-leading companies.
