ioTech achieves third industry award in 6 months
ioTech has won its third award since its commercial launch at the end of 2021. The latest accolade is the LOPEC Start-up Forum Award 2022 for Most Impactful Technology/Product. It joins the productronica innovation award 2021 and productronica fast forward award 2021, powered by Elektor, won last November.
The LOPEC Start-up Forum Awards, run by the Organic and Printed Electronics Association (OE-A), celebrate ingenious prototypes and products in the field of printed electronics. The innovations were judged by an international jury of representatives from well-known companies and institutes.
The competition showcases innovative products and supports the continuous development of the international market for organic and printed electronics. All participants presented their products and technologies to the LOPEC community. Dr Ralph Birnbaum, ioTech‘s Director of Business Development, shared how Continuous Laser Assisted Deposition can process any flowable material up to 500,000 cPs at high resolution and industrial productivity.
He highlighted how the groundbreaking technology offers multiple advantages compared to existing material deposition technologies. He expanded on its great potential for digital mass-manufacturing applications such as semiconductor packaging and advanced printed circuit board production and assembly.
Fast, highly accurate, high-resolution printing of up to five different materials at the same time, including polymers, metals, ceramics, and solder, is made possible by the technology’s unique nozzle-free, non-contact laser jet printing and deposition capabilities.
Hervé Javice, ioTech’s CEO and co-founder commented: “We are delighted that our disruptive digital manufacturing technology has achieved its third prestigious accolade since its launch six month ago. It is clear that enabling increased production efficiencies while embracing a more agile manufacturing approach is creating significant interest. The delivery of fully functional products and the production of “until-now-impossible-to-manufacture” designs are creating exciting business opportunities for our customers.”
