Inova Semiconductors honoured as ‘Digital Innovator 2024’
For the fourth time in a row, the trade magazine Chip and Globis rank the Munich-based semiconductor company one of the most innovative companies in Germany.
In collaboration with Globis Management Consulting, the trade magazine Chip has carried out an extensive analysis on digital innovation, aiming to spotlight companies and organisations significantly contributing to the advancement of the German economy through their innovative efforts. For the fourth consecutive time, Inova Semiconductors has been honoured as a ‘Digital Innovator’ in recognition of its impactful contributions to electronics innovation.
Robert Isele, CEO of Inova Semiconductors, expressed his gratitude for the recognition: “We are delighted to once again receive the award as one of the most innovative companies in Germany and to be recognised for our consistently high development achievements in the field of gigabit/s communication and the digitalisation of light in the automotive sector. This is further confirmation of the excellent work of our development team and impressively demonstrates the innovative strength and creativity of our company.”
The methodology behind the Chip study involved evaluating a company's patents and their significance as indicators of innovative capacity. Focused exclusively on German entities, the analysis considered patents filed for the first time between 2021 and 2022, prioritising initial filings within patent classes related to digital innovations. Out of approximately 23,368 patents registered during the specified timeframe, only those representing new inventions were assessed and factored into the rankings. The study encompassed around 1,600 German companies and organisations, ultimately distinguishing 318 across various sectors as digital innovators.
