HyRel Technologies, a global provider of quick turn semiconductor modification solutions, announces that it has been honoured with two prestigious 2024 Mexico Technology Awards.

The awards were presented in recognition of HyRel’s innovative solutions in the categories of Component Tinning and Soldering Robots. The award ceremony took place on 11th September 2024, at the SMTA Guadalajara event in Mexico.

HyRel’s achievements were recognised for their contributions to advancing the electronics manufacturing industry:

Component tinning: HyRel: robotic hot solder component tinning

The Robotic Hot Solder Component Tinning process has been pioneered by HyRel's five founding partners, who together possess an impressive legacy of expertise dating back to the 1980s. Their involvement in creating the robotic hot solder component tinning process, ultimately securing TMTI approval, has laid the foundation for the innovative technology recognised by this prestigious award.

HyRel has achieved a "touchless" technique for tin dendrite removal, solder alloy replacement, and the restoration of solderability. This process ensures high component reliability, meeting the stringent demands of modern manufacturing.

Soldering Robots: HyRel Technologies: robotic solder dip and BGA reballing versacell system

HyRel's Robotic Solder Dip and BGA Reballing Versacell System is an innovation in soldering technology. Through the development of a "touchless" technique for tin dendrite removal and solder alloy replacement, HyRel’s Micro-Robotic Nano Platform has redefined the standards for component reliability. This innovative approach ensures high-quality solderability restoration, meeting the evolving needs of modern manufacturing processes.

By leveraging robotic solutions and advanced processes, HyRel has enhanced speed and throughput in soldering operations. The Versacell System enables swift and efficient tin dendrite removal, solder alloy replacement, and BGA reballing, ensuring accelerated production timelines without compromising on quality or reliability.

"We are incredibly honoured to receive two 2024 Mexico Technology Awards," stated Brian Watson, Founder of HyRel Technologies. "Our Robotic Hot Solder Component Tinning system and the Robotic Solder Dip & BGA Reballing Versacell System represent the forefront of automation technology, providing our customers with unmatched precision, efficiency, and reliability. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible in electronics manufacturing."

The Mexico Technology Awards acknowledge the latest innovations available in Mexico produced by OEM manufacturing equipment and materials suppliers during the last 12 months.
