EVBox released its latest generation of residential charging, EVBox Livo, late last year. Now, the charging station has been recognised for its outstanding design with the Red Dot Product Design Award within the vehicle accessories category. While effortlessly charging electric vehicles is the charging station’s main priority, its sleek, customisable design has made it easier than ever for customers to request branded editions.

Award-winning product design

The Red Dot Award is an annual international design competition that specialises in product design, communication design, and design concepts. Winning a Red Dot award is a mark of international prestige as it is one of the most coveted design awards. In 2023, entries from 60 countries were submitted and evaluated in 51 competition categories in the Red Dot Product Design Award competition. Every year, the international jury chooses the winning products based on aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.

Bridging aesthetics and functionality

EVBox has worked with the strategic design and innovation agency, VanBerlo, to create a driver-friendly design of EV charging stations for electric drivers. Bringing together design and functionality, EVBox Livo stands out with its sleek black honeycomb-textured cover and clear user interface. Plus, it is specially designed for people that will have a more complex relationship with the product, such as installers. In addition, the EVBox Livo has been made with Makrolon RE, a long-lasting and sustainable alternative to conventional plastic.
