The FRDM Ecosystem is designed to accelerate development for embedded engineers, enabling seamless prototyping and rapid deployment of innovative solutions. Built around NXP’s FRDM development boards, the ecosystem is designed to provide an intuitive and flexible approach to modular hardware and software integration, supporting a broad range of applications in industrial automation, IoT, and Edge computing.

At the heart of the FRDM Ecosystem is its interoperability – engineers can easily integrate various FRDM boards, expansion boards and software tools, including the open source application code for flexibility and customisation, and Visual Studio Code integration. This enables developers to write, debug, and optimise their applications with minimal friction.

The FRDM Ecosystem is more than just a development board. It’s a fully integrated prototyping and deployment platform, setting a new standard in embedded engineering.

The FRDM Ecosystem will be showcased at embedded world 2025, demonstrating real-world industrial and IoT use cases, alongside hands-on sessions for engineers to experience the FRDM Lab, an interactive space for rapid prototyping.
