Dukosi’s Contactless Cell Monitoring System has been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Test & Measurement Product category.

Exhibitors at electronica have been approached to submit their most innovative and show-stopping products.

Dukosi’s Contactless Cell Monitoring System for automotive, industrial transportation, marine, and battery energy storage systems is a revolutionary solution that enables increased performance, reliability, scalability and sustainability throughout the battery value chain.

The Dukosi Cell Monitoring System (DKCMS) marks a significant advancement in battery technology. Developed through extensive R&D, this innovative chip-on-cell technology with contactless cell monitoring addresses critical challenges in high-power battery systems for safety critical applications from automotive to stationary battery energy storage systems.

The DKCMS consists of DK8102 Cell Monitors, a DK8202 System Hub, the Dukosi API and C-SynQ. The Cell Monitors make accurate, synchronous, on-cell measurements, process the data, and send it to the BMS Host via the System Hub. Dukosi’s proprietary C-SynQ communication protocol provides bidirectional communication using a single bus antenna between the System Hub and the Cell Monitor network, which is managed by the System Hub and Dukosi’s API. On-cell monitoring and data storage provides lifetime traceability and supports Battery Passport regulations. This novel architecture overcomes the limitations of traditional wired systems without the drawbacks of far field wireless solutions.

The DKCMS benefits various stakeholders along the battery value chain. Battery owners can extract more energy per cell, optimise manufacturing, and enhance battery safety with 24/7 monitoring. Pack builders can simplify pack design, reduce liability, and increase pack reliability and safety. Cell manufacturers can optimise manufacturing scale-up and lower liability and warranty risks.
