Advantech receives 2024 IoT Edge Computing Excellence Award

Advantech has announced that the MIC-732-AO, UNO-148 V2, MIC-770 V3 + MIC-75GF10, and IPC-730 have each received a 2024 IoT Edge Computing Excellence Award from IoT Evolution World.

MIC-732-AO embedded with NVIDIA Nova Orin for Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) applications

The MIC-732-AO is a fanless system embedded with NVIDIA Nova Orin, delivering up to 275 TOPs of AI performance and exceptional processing power. Equipped with eight GMSL FAKRA connectors for cameras, the system enables robots to achieve 360-degree vision, crucial for real-time situational awareness and decision-making. Additionally, the MIC-732-AO integrates a 3D LiDAR driver for precise depth perception, facilitating navigation in complex environments. Complemented by 2D LiDAR, it captures fine surface details to enhance sensing capabilities. With a modular design and various I/O options—including 10G LAN, CANBus, IMU, and wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE, and 5G—the MIC-732-AO offers enhanced scalability and flexibility. Advantech’s MIC-732-AO also comes pre-installed with NVIDIA Isaac Perceptor, enabling developers to efficiently build AMRs.

UNO-148 V2: ultra-compact AI-enabled automation controller

The UNO-148 V2 is a DIN-rail automation controller equipped with the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors. Its innovative design features a second-stack extension kit that supports embedded MXM GPUs based on NVIDIA Ada Lovelace and Ampere architectures, with power consumption of up to 35W. This advanced configuration is set to transform real-time control and automation applications across various AI-driven industries, unlocking robust Edge AI capabilities.

MIC-770 V3 + MIC-75GF10: AI Modular IPC for Machine Vision and Autonomous Robotics

The MIC-770 V3 is a modular, compact, and fanless IPC with rugged construction, featuring a wide operating temperature range of -20 to 60°C and a broad input voltage range of 9 to 36 VDC, making it ideal for extreme environments. Powered by a 12th/13th/14th Gen Intel Core i socket-type (LGA1700) processor, the MIC-770 V3 is a high-performance, open-source x86 platform designed to facilitate the rapid development of GPU-accelerated solutions. When combined with the MIC-75GF10 i-module, this integrated solution supports up to 80W NVIDIA MXM 3.1 Type A/B form factor GPUs, enabling machine vision and autonomous navigation capabilities for various machine automation applications.

IPC-730 GPU IPC for high-end AI-based Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) applications

The IPC-730 features a high-wattage power supply, efficient heat dissipation, and front I/O interfaces supporting ATX/mATX motherboards. With its powerful hybrid CPU/GPU computing architecture and optimized mechanical design, the IPC-730 is an ideal solution for AI-based Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) applications. It supports high-performance CPUs and full-length GPU cards, and includes a high-wattage ATX 3.1 power supply, specifically designed to meet the demands of high-performance computing. The IPC-730 also provides a variety of I/O connection options, enhancing system integration flexibility for industrial automation and machine vision applications.
