ARM revenues soar to record in Q1

ARM has reported record revenues of $719 million in Q1, an increase OF 6 % year on year.

Quarterly royalty revenues of $453 million, up 22 % year on year were also a record.

It is the first time ARMs quarterly royalty revenues has topped $400 million.

ARM says its strategy of diversifying into markets beyond mobile, such as automotive and infrastructure, is paying off with strong growth in all new target markets.

ARM partners shipped 7.4 billion ARM-based devices in Q1, a rise of 7 % year on year.

The company has now achieved four quarters of more than 7 billion ARM-based chip shipments.
