SiPearl appoints Gael Paul

SiPearl has announced the appointment of Gael Paul as Senior Vice-President Engineering. A seasoned semiconductor expert with a proven track record of turning innovative technologies into successful products and solutions, he joined SiPearl on 6th January 2025.

Paul brings with him 29 years of experience in semiconductors, EDA and Cloud and has spent his entire career working in Europe and the US as a technology executive, leading multinational, multi-skill teams and managing complex development projects. He is a recognised technologist who uniquely combines product architecture, chip design, software development and Cloud computing. Gael holds 20+ patents and is the inventor of the IEEE 1735 HDL IP Encryption standard.

Prior to joining SiPearl, Paul served as VP Innovation at Enclustra, a producer of FPGA-based System-on-Module. In this role, Gael built and led a world-class team focused on innovative technologies and new product development, spanning hardware, software, radio frequency, mechanical and thermal.

Since 6th January, 2025, Paul has taken charge of SiPearl’s research and development activities and programne management, as well as the teams involved. In collaboration with the marketing team, he is also responsible for implementing the roadmap for the new generations of European processors that will contribute to Europe technological sovereignty. The roadmap will be unveiled in a few weeks.

In addition to his expertise in the end-to-end management of complex silicon projects, Paul brings a new vision to the company in terms of security and cryptography.

As the right-hand man of Philippe Notton, CEO and Founder of SiPearl, for all research & development and program management matters, Gael Paul reports directly to him. He is a member of the Executive Committee.
