Silicon Designs appoints Elektro as distributors in Turkey

Since 1979, Elektro has been supplying semiconductor, passive, and electromechanical components, including sensors, switches, and inertial measurement units, to aerospace, OEM, and industrial equipment customers in Turkey, and via its role as experienced technical sales representatives for some of the industry’s top manufacturers. 

In addition, Elektro is both an ISO 9001 and TRACE certified manufacturer of its own product technologies.

Silicon Designs was founded in 1983 with the goal of improving the accepted design standard for MEMS capacitive accelerometers and chips.  At that time, industrial-grade accelerometers were bulky, highly fragile, and costly. 

The engineering team at Silicon Designs listened to the needs of its customers who required more compact, sensitive, rugged, and reasonably priced MEMS capacitive accelerometer modules and chips, yet which also offered higher performance for a lower overall cost per measurement channel. 

With the customer’s expressed feedback in mind, all product lines were designed and built to surpass expectations. The company has grown steadily over the years, though its core competencies remain the design and manufacture of industrial- and inertial-grade MEMS capacitive accelerometers and chips for zero-to-medium frequency instrumentation applications.
