EAO has announced that Bruno Cathomen has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of EAO Corporate. A well-planned succession was implemented in October 2022 and planned for the long term, ensuring continuity and stability in operation management. He succeeds Kurt Loosli, who served as Chief Executive Officer from 2000–2022. Loosli will join the Board of Directors of EAO Holding as Vice President.

Most recently, Cathomen served as CEO at Mikron, a machine manufacturing company. Cathomen has a broad range of experience in electrical engineering and production science, including years of leadership and experience as a business manager.

“As CEO, it has always been important for me to be personally present, and maintain contact with our employees and customers to understand their needs. These have been exceptional years for me, with all kinds of challenges and opportunities,” said Loosli. “The Board of Directors now offers me the opportunity to help shape the company from a new perspective. In this new role, I remain an entrepreneur in the service of EAO. Cathomen brings valuable new insights and ideas that can further increase EAO’s success in the long term,” added Loosli.

“I am excited to join EAO and look forward to the challenges and opportunity to further develop our strategic markets in the rail, heavy-duty, and speciality vehicle segments,” said Cathomen. “I look forward to working with EAO’s leadership and building on the value and commitment we provide our customers.”
