Change in the management board at ODU
ODU has announced a change in its management board. As of 1st September 2023, Robert Klemisch will be appointed to the management board for Technology & Operations.
Robert Klemisch is a long-time employee of ODU and looks back on an impressive 20-year career with the company. In his previous role as COO, he headed the operations division worldwide and made a significant contribution to the company's success. In his new role as a management board member, he will also be responsible for the technical and supply chain departments in addition to his previous responsibilities. Robert Klemisch has deep ODU knowledge, extensive experience, and outstanding competence, which he now brings to his new position.
Klemisch's areas of responsibility include the strategic orientation of technological development and the optimisation of operational processes. He will work closely with the globally responsible executives in Engineering and Operations to further strengthen ODU's innovative power and expand the company's position as a leading provider of connector systems.
"It is a great honour and pleasure for me to accept this new challenge as ODU's management board member for technology & operations," says Robert Klemisch. "Together with our dedicated teams, we will actively shape ODU's future and provide our customers with innovative solutions that exceed their needs."
The management board of ODU would also like to thank Dr.-Ing. Kurt Woelfl. He is currently focusing on the management board of the Market Area and the Automotive BU. With regard to the future direction of the company, the management board has focused on three key issues:
- Investments in the ODU Group will continue.
- As far as working hours and working time models are concerned, ODU focuses on flexibility and working time arrangements according to individual needs. ODU scores with its employees with its idealistic and at the same time down-to-earth values, with a sense of tradition and responsibility. ODU is growing, investing, training, offering security and a family atmosphere. The management board is there “to touch and talk to”. Dr.-Kurt Woelfl: "We'll have a nice Christmas party again this year with nearly 1,000 ODU employees."
"It's hard to say how much that's worth to young people today," says management board member Dr. Josef Leitner. "What is certain is that the employees at ODU are doing well and enjoying themselves. And one thing is also certain: despite the current discussion about working hours: Not everyone wants to work four long days, but would rather work five shorter ones. Because children also have five days of school and are at home in the afternoon. For ODU, this means enabling family-friendly working hours and life phase orientation. For us, as a relatively large mid-sized company, we make a lot of things possible for the individual employee."
- A particular focus continues to be on the further development and optimisation of internal processes in order to further increase the efficiency of the company globally.
