The Zytronic Group, a leading designer and manufacturer of Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT)-based touch sensor products and customised optical filters for electronic displays, has announced the promotion of its subsidiary’s managing director, Mark Cambridge, to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Group, effective immediately. Cambridge succeeds John Kennair who will continue on the Board as Chairman.
Cambridge joined the Group in 1991 and has held several directorial positions within it including technical, quality, sales and marketing. From 2000, Cambridge oversaw the development and launch of the Group’s first PCT-based touch sensor, ZYTOUCH.

Cambridge has continued to oversee the ongoing success and expansion of the Group’s range of PCT-based touch sensor products, which now also includes ZYPOS, ZYBRID, ZYSWITCH, ZYPROFILM and the most recent addition to the PCT product portfolio, ZYFILM, announced earlier this month. Cambridge has also been instrumental in the growth of the Group’s worldwide network of distributors and representatives which in turn has helped drive the significant sales increases. The touch sensor technology side of the business has now grown to almost 52% of the total sales and this is expected to increase significantly in future.

Commenting on Cambridge’s appointment, John Kennair, Zytronic’s Chairman says, “Mark has made an enormous contribution towards the ongoing success of Zytronic’s business. After 17 years with the Group, Mark has a truly in-depth understanding of our business and consistently demonstrates his excellent management and technical skills. I, and the remaining Board members, am in no doubt that he is of the right calibre to lead our team of talented experts and specialists as we continue with the worldwide growth of the Group.
