ZTE Honors Xilinx with 2010 Best Global Supplier Award

The distinction was granted to Xilinx at ZTE's Supplier Day event in Shenzhen, China, where the company celebrated the commitment of its global suppliers in 2010 to achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. ZTE presented awards to suppliers in recognition of their contributions to its success 2010 and affirming the key role suppliers will play in solidifying the company's position as one of the world's top three global leaders and technology innovators in the telecommunications equipment and networking industry.

Xilinx played a pivotal role in ZTE's success throughout 2010 by providing excellent day-to-day technical service and support to our global engineering team, said ZTE Chief Logic Design Engineer Li Jianyu. We're pleased that our collaboration with Xilinx over the past 10 years has expanded with each year and delighted to name Xilinx our 2010 Best Global Supplier for maintaining a 9.5 average scorecard rating for customer satisfaction over four quarters.

Thanks to the recent 30 percent power reduction, 40 percent performance, and a 2.5x runtime improvement in Spartan(R)-6 FPGAs using ISE(R) Design Suite 12.4, ZTE is on track to be first-to-market with innovative new data communications equipment in 2011 designed with Spartan-6 FPGAs.With each new generation of FPGA platforms, the Xilinx team has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and a commitment to delivery of advanced technology and products matched to our market requirements.Looking ahead, our design teams are excited about the tremendous potential for ZTE as an early adopter of Xilinx 28nm 7 series FPGAs.

ZTE has selected Xilinx Virtex(R)-6 and Spartan-6 FPGAs for wireless baseband, RRU platforms, data communications systems and carrier network, switch and access network products, to name a few.
