Winning website delivers technically and visually
Receiving a double accolade in the 11th Annual W3 Awards for its new website, Harwin re-designed its site at the end of last year. The W3 Awards honour creative excellence on the web, and recognises companies and their creative and marketing minds behind websites, online marketing, mobile sites and apps, web video and social media.
The awards are accessible across the board from small companies and agencies right up to the very largest. Harwin and Thinking Juice have received 2016 Silver Winner Awards for ‘Website Features – User Experience’ and ‘Best Manufacturing Website’ categories.
Harwin’s new website was completely re-designed with a new look and feel that is fresh, modern, easily-navigated and user-optimised. Many new and useful features were incorporated following careful and in-depth analysis of the requirements and behaviour of Harwin website visitors.
The Home page gives immediate ‘At a Glance’ access and simple navigation to the most frequently-needed information, including the latest product news, an overview of all Harwin product categories, plus a wealth of technical resources including Harwin’s extensive library of CAD models.
Ben Green, Head of New Business, Marketing and Communications at Harwin commented: “We were absolutely delighted to receive these two W3 Silver Awards for both User Experience and in the Manufacturing Website category.”
He added: “A lot of thought and hard work went into delivering everything our web visitors want, from a speedy first-glance overview of our entire connector and boardware product portfolio for the first time visitor, to providing in-depth technical resources for design engineers. The CAD model section offers 3D models in STP and IGES formats free of charge, which saves valuable time, and easy access to test reports across many products, as part of a whole library of technical documentation. This win really validates and recognises that we have achieved a website that delivers visually, in ease-of-use and with comprehensive technical content.”
