Dataton's WATCHPAX Makes Asian Market Debut At InfoComm China 2013
Dataton’s new WATCHPAX media server will make its Asian market debut at InfoComm China from 10–12 April 2013. After receiving its global launch at Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam earlier this year, WATCHPAX is set to win further attention as Dataton shows off the product at other tradeshows around the world.
HousRack-mountable or installed discreetly at the rear of a flat-panel display, WATCHPAX gives systems integrators, live-events professionals and show designers all the capabilities of WATCHOUT, without the hassle of fine-tuning computers or running long video cables between each PC and its connected display source.
“We have had another wonderful year with WATCHOUT throughout the Asian region, with our Chinese sales going particularly well,” says Kenneth Cheung, CEO of Hong Kong-based Audio Visual Technique, Dataton’s Premium Partner for South-East Asia.
“The latest version has Chinese-language support and we are particularly pleased that the Bejing National Theater is now specifying WATCHOUT for all productions that require AV display technology.
“At InfoComm China we will be writing the next chapter in this story with the help of WATCHPAX. We believe that the compact form factor, ease of setup, reliability and many other assets of WATCHPAX will only increase the popularity of WATCHOUT, particularly at events where space for‘back office’ technology is at a premium and in multi-room environments such as museums, visitor attractions and retail properties.”
As well as partnering with AV Technique on the InfoComm China show floor, Dataton will also be hosting an InfoComm University training session at 11:00 on Wednesday 10 April. Fredrik Svahnberg, Dataton’s Marketing Director, will personally take the hour-long seminar, titled ‘Multi-Image Projection Techniques’.
“The Chinese market for AV technologies and solutions continues to grow at a fantastic rate, and we are delighted to be returning to InfoComm China in 2013,” remarks Svahnberg.
“We believe that the combination of the new WATCHPAX media-player solution and the excellent support of our partner AV Techniquewill arouse plenty of interest, and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our booth in Beijing.”
