PLX TeraPHY 10GBase-T Transceiver Named “Best of Interop” Finalist

The Best of Interop Awards judging committee, comprised of 16 award-winning industry editors, analysts and InformationWeek Reports experts, reviewed over 130 entries. The committee selected the TN8045 and other finalists based on their significant technical impact and potential of advancing the business technology market.



The PLX TN8045 10GBase-T transceiver is a quad-port physical layer (PHY) device housed in an industry-leading small 25mm-square package that is space-optimized to allow for 12 devices to fit side-by-side in a standard 48-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch. The TN8045 is also ideal for a wide range of applications beyond these high-density ToR switches, including multi-port network adaptors that cater to servers, multi-port switch uplinks, and media converters. TN8045 features a 10GBase-KR backplane interface, enhanced Energy Efficient Ethernet (eEEE) support, on-chip MACSec security and encryption hardware, and offers the most comprehensive and proven suite of electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation hardware.
