Texas Instruments has announced 15 recipients of the company’s 2007 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA). The winners, selected from across TI’s worldwide supplier base of over 14,000 companies, were evaluated on a number of areas, including cost, environmental responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply and quality – along with overall performance and contributions that help TI better serve its customers.
“Our suppliers play a vital role in TI’s commitment to solving customer problems, and the SEA program is an opportunity for us to recognize those across our global supply chain that meet the highest standards of excellence,” said Rob Simpson, vice president, Worldwide Procurement and Logistics, TI. “We’re very proud of our SEA recipients and appreciate the continued value they deliver to TI and its customers.”

Since 1983, TI has honored businesses that provide exemplary service through the SEA program. Given annually, the awards are a key vehicle for communicating TI’s standards and expectations for suppliers as it strives to deliver solutions and service that help solve problems integral to customer success. In the coming weeks TI will present the award to each supplier at their individual place of business to personally recognize the contribution and performance of their employees.
