Spirent Receives Best of Interop Award
Spirent Communications today announced that Spirent Avalanche Virtual, the industry’s first solution for cloud computing testing, was named the 2010 Best of Interop winner in the Performance Optimization category. The solution was recognized for its innovative approach for testing the performance, availability, security and scalability (PASS) of virtualized network appliances as well as cloud-based applications across public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
“TUnlike other solutions, Spirent Avalanche Virtual delivers the same real-world testing capabilities in the cloud as in traditional networks by providing realistic performance and security benchmarks. The solution has the ability to scale to millions of emulated real-world subscriber traffic.
“Spirent has changed the cloud computing conversation to focus on the performance and impact of Enterprise applications rather than just economics,” said Tim Jefferson, general manager at Spirent. “We’re extremely proud that the industry has recognized our approach which delivers the first holistic cloud computing testing methodology to validate the PASS of the cloud infrastructure and related services.”
Each year, Best of Interop award winners prove to be the key players in the continuing evolution of business technology. There were over 100 candidates for Best of Interop consideration in nine different categories. Spirent Avalanche Virtual was judged by the editors and analysts of InformationWeek Analytics, the leading service for peer-based IT research and analysis, and Interop, the leading global business technology event series.
