SmartKem Strengthens Asian Business Expansion with new Business Development Director

Possessing over 20 years’ experience in the electronics industry, Gary brings to SmartKem extensive knowledge in the field of business development, project management and quality standards for the successful commercialisation of new technologies. He deeply understands the dynamics of the Asian electronics market, having led business strategy development, technology marketing and early commercialisation activities in the Asian Pacific region for large global organisations, such as Samsung and Philips.

As Business Development Director, Gary will be responsible for managing the relationships with SmartKem’s Asian partners as well as developing new investment opportunities in order to further strengthen the company’s position in the region. The company has already signed a number of materials testing agreements with a range of leading, multi-national Asian companies in recent months, demonstrating the demand for SmartKem’s high-performance materials in this area. Gary is one of a number of recent new additions to the growing SmartKem team in Asia, following the recent appointment of agents in Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
