The Simplicity Studio development platform from Silicon Labs has recently won an Elektra Award in the Design Tools and Development Software category sponsored by SWINDON Silicon Systems. Held annually to celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies across Europe, the Elektra Awards present best practices in key areas of the electronics industry including innovation, sales growth and employee motivation.

The 2015 Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards were presented during an evening gala held at the Lancaster London hotel on Tuesday 25th November.

An independent panel of judges selected Silicon Labs’ Simplicity Studio software suite for an Elektra Award because it enables concurrent 8/32-bit microcontroller and wireless design using one integrated set of tools. This software integration means developers can save time and resources during the embedded design process because they do not need to switch between development tools when creating connected devices for the Internet of Things (IoT).

“We are delighted that Simplicity Studio won top honours in the Elektra Awards’ Design Tools and Development Software category,” said Raman Sharma, Director of Marketing for Simplicity Products at Silicon Labs. “Simplicity Studio is Silicon Labs’ flagship development environment for IoT system design based on our 8-bit and 32-bit MCUs, wireless connectivity ICs and sensors. Winning this prestigious award underscores our commitment to providing our customers with a comprehensive, easy to use software suite that simplifies the development process.”
