Silicon Labs Appoints LM Wang To VP Of Asia Pacific Sales

Silicon Laboratories Inc. has announced that LM Wang was appointed as the company’s vice president of Asia Pacific sales, effective immediately. Mr. Wang, based in Singapore, will be responsible for the company’s direct and distribution sales network throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Mr. Wang has almost 20 years of regional experience with a proven leadership track record in various management positions in sales, marketing, and applications support. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Wang was the vice president and managing director in Asia for Zilog where his leadership resulted in the development of an Asia-based sales infrastructure to support new products and double-digit regional sales growth. Mr. Wang spent 15 years at Zilog, beginning as a field sales engineer and rapidly expanding his responsibilities to include the establishment of a presence in China, definition of key market verticals, and channel development resulting in a doubling of revenue. Prior to his rapid ascension at Zilog, Mr. Wang was a sales manager for Future Electronics and a sales engineer for Texas Instruments.

“LM’s experience developing a complete sales ecosystem to enable a number one market share position in certain product areas will be invaluable as we extend our channel presence and continue to expand our portfolio to address new markets,” said Kurt Hoff, vice president of worldwide sales for Silicon Laboratories. “LM is an effective and charismatic leader with the drive and experience to further develop our presence in the region.”

Mr. Wang has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore.
