Siano’s New Carmel Takes Center Stage at DISTREE Latin America
Siano today announced the launch of two new products in Latin America. The two-day event hosted hundreds of Latin America’s top ICT and consumer electronics retailers and distributors who were able to evaluate the latest products prior to their launch in the local markets.
SianCarmel entered the event’s prestigious “60 Seconds to Convince” competition and was awarded first place in two categories: Product Innovation and Product Presentation. A total of 20 exhibitors from amongst several hundred were qualified to compete in the awards program. “Siano’s participation and impressive win gave retailers and distributors a unique opportunity to assess the product,” says Alon Ironi, CEO of Siano. “Nothing compares to the selling power of a live demo,” he adds.
Best recognized so far for its exceptional mobile TV receiver offering, Siano’s launch of Carmel and Meron marks the company’s first comprehensive off-the-shelf products, aimed at delivering end-users with a enjoyable live mobile TV experience on the world’s leasing smartphones and tablets. Carmel and Meron deliver the true live TV experience, free-of-charge with no payment required for cellular data or TV provider subscriptions.
Carmel is the world’s first MDTV accessory for Apple devices that does not require an internal battery. Designed for the new iPad 2 (or newer) and the iPhone 4/4S (or newer), once connected, Carmel receives live broadcast TV signals in the user’s location. Carmel is supported by the SianoTV App, a global leader in digital entertainment products for Apple devices.
“Carmel and Meron mark significant expansion of Siano’s offering in the world of mobile TV,” comments Ironi. “This is an important milestone for us, as we launch our first full-fledged products designed and powered by Siano, with several products in the pipeline. The Latin American markets are particularly ripe and consumers in Argentina and Brazil are ready to get on board and change the face of local TV viewing.”
