Vector Fabrics announces the appointment of Sean Redmond as Vice President Sales. Bringing over 26 years experience in the embedded semiconductor industry, Mr. Redmond is leading sales and strategic collaborations for Vector Fabrics' newly released embedded system parallelization tools.
/> Mike Beunder, Vector Fabrics' CEO, comments, Sean has an impressive knowledge and understanding of the embedded systems industry. With his extensive relationships in the Global Semiconductor and System OEM customer base, he is already projecting the value of our unique solutions to solve parallel processing pain and helping to drive our sales growth. We are delighted to have him onboard.

As VP WW Sales and Marketing at Arc, he led the 'Solutions to Silicon' strategy that turned around the loss-making processor IP company to capture key market segment leadership. Prior sales leadership roles, where he delivered significant growth, have included senior sales and general management positions at Cadence, Verisity and COMPASS. During the early years of his career Redmond worked in System and ASIC design engineering at Philips Semiconductors and VLSI Technology.

Parallel processing in embedded systems promises great benefits, but multicore developers find it almost impossible to determine the optimal algorithm code partitioning and mapping for parallel implementation, comments Sean Redmond, VP Sales Vector Fabrics. Vector Fabrics has developed a unique and powerful approach to realizing the full benefit of parallel processing. These cloud-based tools can save many months of wasted programming and debug effort, enabling the creation of competitive parallel embedded systems much faster than was possible before.

Sean holds an MSc in Digital Systems from King's College, London, a BSc(Hons) from Brighton University and an MBA with first year distinction from Henley Management College.
