Scientific and High Speed Camera Knowledge Event offers insight and demonstrations for users of high speed cameras

A new knowledge event has been announced by optical and high speed camera specialists Photon Lines. Running on the 5th October 2011 at Bloxham Mill in Oxfordshire, the event will bring together manufacturers and end users of specialised camera equipment to discuss scientific, high speed camera and lighting solutions for a range of industries. Representatives from PCO Imaging, High Speed Vision and Lambert Instruments will be on hand together with Photon Lines’ own in-house technical specialists to help buyers and users of the technologies choose and operate the most effective equipment.

“High Speed cameras offer the ability to capture information previously unavailable. We are receiving a growing number of enquiries from customers looking to capture data but unsure as to what options are available,” says Photon Lines director David Gibson. “This event will bring together specialists from Europe to be on hand to respond to any questions and offer demonstrations of how these cameras can acquire data to solve issues in a wide range of industries and scientific fields.”

PCO Imaging, who recently filmed the final Space Shuttle launch using a high speed camera will talk about some of its automotive off-board crash testing and breakthrough scientific CMOS (sCMOS) technology. High Speed Vision will explain how its high speed cameras have been successful in troubleshooting applications whilst Lambert Instruments will display its cameras for use where no external light is available and offer sensitivity down to a single photon.

Photon Lines currently supplies High Speed Cameras to a wide range of applications in Research and Industry, including X-ray tomography, plasma physics, microfluidics, blood flow analysis, molecular motors, pharmaceutical production and glass manufacture.
