Richardson Electronics has announced a global distribution agreement with Ioxus. The agreement supports Ioxus’ efforts to increase market awareness and market share of its latest products and innovative technology.

Ioxus manufactures iCAP ultracapacitors, iMOD modules, and THiNCAP pouch cells and modules that are optimised for the highest energy and power density. Ioxus recently launched their leading edge 85º Titan ultracapacitor product line and the new industry changing line of 22 iMOD X-series ultracapacitor modules. The 22 X-series modules allow customers to quickly integrate ultracaps into their application with little development cost or design lead time. Ioxus ultracapacitor cells and modules serve the automotive, hybrid bus, wind turbine pitch control, micro grid, UPS and industrial markets.

“Ioxus develops premium performance ultracapacitor technology and proves through extensive testing that their products achieve longer life than what is currently offered on the market,” said Greg Peloquin, Executive Vice President, Power & Microwave Technologies group, Richardson Electronics. “Ioxus’ technology is extremely exciting for our sales team to promote to our customers, since these products offer key differentiators with distinct advantages.”

“With Richardson Electronics as a channel partner, Ioxus will leverage Richardson’s vast market reach to build market awareness of our latest products and leading technology to capture more design wins,” commented Jeff Colton, Vice President of Sales, Ioxus. “Their global presence and technical expertise will help us reach new customers and effectively take advantage of the opportunities in the rapidly expanding markets for ultracapacitor applications.”
