Rehm Thermal Systems reports that last month’s SNEC 2012 in Shanghai was highly successful in spite of recent softness in the PV market. Rehm’s ongoing initiatives reflect a strong determination to expand upon their past successes and achieve leadership recognition for their PV technology achievements.
While the scale of SNEC 2012 was reported to be similar to 2011, most PV manufacturers and vendors look for market improvement in the coming years. Rehm continued to introduce revolutionary technical design and advanced thermal engineering, much to the delight of over 200 visitors to their stand. These innovations included a new dual or single lane dryer and firing furnace, as well as the latest generation of exhaust gas management equipment, capable of 99.9% VOC destruction rates.

Rehm’s firing furnace boasts a wide process window, better performance, lowest cost of owner ship, and proven high throughput. These benefits are important for PV manufactures that are looking to advance their productivity and cell efficiency more than ever before.

Further demonstrating their commitment to the local market, during SNEC 2012 Rehm hosted a technical seminar which was attended by over 60 manufacturing engineers. Rehm and seminar partner Dupont Innovalight provided technical insight about metallization, firing furnace profiling and control, and new materials and processes to improve the efficiency of next generation PV cells.
