Quantum Research opens office in Japan

Quantum Research Group has announced the appointment of Paul Russell as Principal Field Applications Engineer for their new Japanese operation. Paul, a Canadian citizen, has been resident in Japan for the past six years and was previously employed by Tega Sanyo, where he was exposed for many years to Quantum’s touch sensing technology and hence brings considerable experience with him, especially in appliances and mobile applications. His new responsibilities include providing engineering and design support to the company’s customers.

“We are delighted to hire such an experienced and well connected engineer to support our customers in Japan.” says Hal Philipp, CEO and founder of Quantum Research Group. “By opening this new office, we have made a commitment to the Japanese market and see this as our first step in establishing a larger organization here in the near future.”
Paul will be working closely with Quantum’s distribution partner Kyoshin Technosonic Company, based in Tokyo, Japan. “We have seen a dramatic increase in the acceptance of Quantum’s touch sense technology across the Japanese market,” says Kushiyama Hisao, executive group director, Kyoshin Technosonic. “With multiple customers designing in this emerging technology, we appreciate Quantum’s initiative of establishing a local entity to support our growing number of customers.”
