Quantum Research Group, the charge-transfer (QT) capacitive touch company, announces the opening of its new engineering and support facility located within the Hong Kong Science Park. Customers across China will now benefit from the increased access to Quantum’s technical and design support services.
Edward Fung, General Manager, Quantum Research Group Hong Kong comments, “We recognised that the Hong Kong Science Park is a symbol of engineering development hence our decision to establish our new facility here. Quantum can offer a comprehensive range of customization and evaluation support to suit the different market requirements of our customers. Our goal is to offer them a one-stop design service and to reduce their overall product development cycle.”

“Our capacitive touch controls have been employed in high end applications for many years.” comments Hal Philipp, founder and CEO of Quantum, “We are now meeting the demand for their use in a wide variety of high volume consumer electronic products. Pricing has fallen to the point at which there is no longer any logical reason for using conventional mechanical switches. With the opening of our new Hong Kong facility we look forward to assisting customers to speed the adoption of our capacitive touch controls into their high volume applications in the South China region and beyond.”
