Philippe Starck designed device trackers at CES
Wistiki has introduced its new device trackers at CES 2016. One year after launching its first product innovation in the Bluetooth tracker industry at CES Eureka Park, the company has now unveiled three uniquely shaped connected accessories designed by Philippe Starck.
Being part of the French Tech initiative, Wistiki is dedicated to offer 100% made in France products that help people find their lost items from their smartphone.
If you’re the kind of person who often misplaces keys and wallets, or if you tend to lose track of your pet, it’s likely you’d prefer to never again experience that immediate feeling of panic that comes with the realisation that something important to you has gone missing. Wistiki aim is to make sure you never have to with its connected jewels - a series of three small, differently shaped connected trackers. There’s the Wistiki voilá!, the Wistiki ahā! and the Wistiki hopla!, made for keys, pet collars and wallets, respectively - though they can also be attached to pretty much any gadget or object you want to make sure you never lose.
Once you’ve attached the device to the physical object of your choosing, connect it to your smartphone using the free Wistiki app to make the device ring, and to help you find it.
Technical specs of the devices include:
• A battery lifetime lasting up to three years.
• A longer Bluetooth Low Energy range (up to 328ft).
• A sonic experience with a loud (90db) ringtone.
Wistiki partnered with renowned designer Philippe Starck (known for, among many other things, designing Steve Jobs’s personal yacht) to make the new products more aesthetically pleasing than other location devices on the market. Essentially, the Wistiki voilá!, ahā! and hopla!, are innovations that also serve as a fashion accessory for you or your furry friends.
They’re available in a range of four trendy colours, selected by the designer himself. Each device uses four key features to keep your belongings close and on-hand:
GPS locator
The Wistiki app map keeps track of whatever you’ve connected your device to. The map uses the device’s most recent GPS coordinates and records the last time you were within the Bluetooth range of the Wistiki voilá!, ahā! or hopla!. The map comes with a crowd GPS feature, as well, in which each person who has the Wistiki app anonymously updates the GPS data of all lost Wistiki around - meaning the community of users around you can actually help you find your lost item or pet.
Ringtone and hot/cold radar
You can use the app to make your Wistiki ring, so you can find your missing item by sound. On your screen the hot/cold radar shows you whether you’re getting closer to the item or not. This comes in handy with devices like television remotes, which seem to somehow always find their way between some cushions or underneath a piece of furniture.
Reverse ringtone
What if you lose your phone? Well, Wistiki works in reverse to help you find it. Just press the button on your Wistiki and it’ll make your phone ring.
Virtual leash
You can activate this app feature to alert you when and item is moving away from your smartphone. So if your dog is off-leash and experiencing a brief moment of wanderlust, you’ll know it before he or she can cover much distance. This feature is also great for bicycles and other things you keep near yourself or your home.
The products are available at preffered pricing until the end of the show
