Permanent magnet gives rotary solenoid speed increase
By using a permanent magnet instead of a spring a new bistable rotary solenoid has a significant increase in speed of operation.
BecaThe bistable construction also allows the device to hold its end position at either limit of rotation with no power applied. This results in reduced heat dissipation which in turn permits higher power to be applied during the movement phase to enhance the speed of operation even further.
The new solenoid is designed to replace existing axial displacement and non-displacement devices in 40mm diameter. Other sizes will be available shortly.
