P. D. Circuits, Inc. announces that its Technical Director Kathleen Nargi-Toth has completed her IPC training and now is an IPC Certified Trainer in IPC-A-600. For many years, the IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards document has set the standard for PCB/PWB workmanship quality. Now that Kathy has successfully completed her IPC-A-600 training, she can better help P. D. Circuits’ fabricators to optimize their processes and quality. She now is conducting classes in IPC-A -600 to P. D. Circuits’ employees and customers
The IPC-A-600 provides comprehensive acceptance criteria with full color illustrations and photographs showing all types of printed board surface and internal conditions. Because of its importance to both the PWB manufacturer and assembler, the IPC-A-600 has become one of the most widely recognized and used documents ever published by IPC.

IPC developed the IPC-A-600 Training and Certification Program to promote a consistent body of knowledge regarding printed board end product requirements to all segments of the electronic interconnection industry.

In her 25 years in the industry, Kathy has developed in-depth PCB fabrication process expertise. She is recognized as one of the most influential people in the global electronics industry. Kathy has worked as a process engineer for a printed circuit board fabricator, and in both technical and marketing roles for global suppliers of chemical and laminate products used in the manufacture and assembly of printed circuit boards. She served as editor-in-chief of Printed Circuit Design and Fab magazine, has been an active contributor to the IPC and continues to serve on industry boards as a technical resource. She was a contributing author to the National Academies study Linkages: Manufacturing Trends in Electronics Interconnection Technology, released to industry in November 2005. The study was conducted at the request of the DOD to identify and assess key issues affecting PCBs for military use.
