New miniature single-channel and dual-channel incremental encoders from Optek offer a low cost solution for small shaft motors.
The
OPE1275 and OPE2275 are designed for 27.5mm, small shaft motors with a shaft diameter of 2mm (0.079”) and a minimum length of 3.8mm (0.150). The OPE1275 provides a single channel analog output for speed of rotation while the OPE2275 provides a dual channel analog output for speed and direction of rotation. Optek’s OPE Optical Encoders are available in hollow and shafted configurations with standard resolutions of 128 and 256 pulses per revolution.
