NMI & IMAPS-UK have announced the line up for their iPower Technical Conference, which takes place at the WMG, University of Warwick on 30 November & 1 December 2011.

The two-day event and networking dinner, supported by Dyson, will focus on how future products can integrate interconnectivity, intelligence and thermal management to better meet the needs of renewable power generation, electric vehicles, smart transportation systems and other applications. Presentations will be given on scenario and application directions; power electronics technology developments; materials and processes; and manufacturing and assembly.
Companies presenting include Alstom Grid, Converteam, Infineon, Emerson, International Rectifier, NXP, Anvil Semiconductor, University of Warwick, NMI, Isotron UK, Indium Corporation, Altus Group, Dynex Semiconductor, IeMRC, Delvotec and ASE.

Those attending the event will also receive tours of Warwick University’s new SiC design, development and fabrication facility, which provides research into the materials physics and device fabrication technology of silicon carbide, and attend a poster session on the latest power science research from the UK’s leading Universities, a tabletop exhibition and see electric vehicle demonstrators from Lotus, Tata & Warwick F3.

iPower concludes with the ‘Power Factor’, a live debate on the UK Government’s BIS Power Electronics Strategy Document.
