New online resource centre simplifies Ferrite selection

Searching on a database of ferrite materials and geometries, the free ferrite magnetic design tool simplifies the calculation of frequency dependency, impedance, wire gauge and third harmonic distortion for different temperatures, over a range of ferrite materials. A comprehensive library of information on all standard and new ferrite materials, and data on EPCOS ferrites, allows designers to quickly research the characteristics of different materials and geometries suggested by the design tool.

By providing users with ACAL Technology’s complete inventory list of EPCOS ferrites, the site allows designers or buyers to add crucial commercial information to the selection process which can significantly improve their products’ time to market.
