NEC Corp. Names PLX Technology a First Tier Preferred Supplier

NEC cited PLX’s commitment to superior service and technical support, combined with its unmatched leadership in PCI Express® (PCIe®) technology, for the award.

Among other collaborative projects with NEC, PLX® ExpressLane™ PCIe switches were selected as the interconnect backbone in NEC’s D-Series scalable storage systems at that platform’s inception. NEC designed into the D-Series several PLX devices with multiple lane and port configurations to help enhance the D-Series performance and throughput.
