For just £395, engineers can take two training courses and a certification exam (for example, LabVIEW Basics I & II, and the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) Certification exam, which would currently be a saving of over £1,800). The Robert Morton, National Instruments UK & Ireland Managing Director, said “NI is pleased to be able to support engineers who have unfortunately been made redundant because of the current economic climate by investing in their training and development, empowering them with new certified skills for when the economy turns around”.
To qualify for the reduced price training, engineers should hold an Engineering degree and have been unemployed for less than six months. Other degrees or experience may qualify in some cases. Seats are assigned based on date and availability for a specific course, as well as complying with the prerequisites of the class. Attendees are responsible for their own travel expenses, meals and lodging.
