National Instruments is joining Analog Devices and Silica, an Avnet Company, to host a 17-city road show across Europe. Engineers attending these free, one-day seminars will receive an in-depth overview of ADI Blackfin Processors, plus hands-on training with VisualDSP++ 4.5, and a detailed product overview and demonstration of the National Instruments LabVIEW Embedded Module for ADI Blackfin Processors.
“With LabVIEW code executing on Blackfin Processors, we have simplified the process of designing and targeting custom applications by creating a fully integrated, graphical system design approach to embedded product development,” said Anders Frederiksen, ADI marketing manager for industrial and embedded processing. “The comprehensive training series will further simplify the design process by providing attending engineers with the tools they need to build Blackfin-based products using LabVIEW and VDSP++ development environments.”

NI, ADI and Silica experts will be available to discuss the attendees’ design needs. Attendees will receive training on Blackfin Processors using VisualDSP++, and learn how LabVIEW seamlessly integrates with traditional embedded development tools to reduce programming time and lower cost.

“With regard to complex math algorithms, handling and managing multi-sensor signals, and running six asynchronous kernel tasks, LabVIEW exceeds the conventional C approach,” said Marco Schmid, chief engineer at Schmid Engineering. “The ‘G’ environment allowed Schmid Engineering to prototype all critical parts long before hardware was available - for instance, Statelogic, FFTs, Pattern matching and so on.”

The seminar series kicks off in The Netherlands on October 3, 2006, and visits the following cities:
