MPC Data the award winning Microsoft Gold partner will be present in the Microsoft Software Village at Electronica, Hall A6 Booth 443 pod S08
Garry Clarkson, MPC Data’s Product Marketing manager, comments “We will be demonstrating various BSPs on the Microsoft stand at Electronica, particularly the latest DM365 BSP, Hawkboard and Beagleboard BSPs. It makes a great deal of commercial sense to focus your internal development effort on delivering the software IP that differentiates your product in the marketplace rather than expending precious build-in-house effort on producing a stable OS platform. Let the experts at MPC Data do the heavy lifting, enabling your platform with an off-the-shelf production ready BSP that has been CETK tested and comes with specialist technical support when you need it”.

The Board Support Package allows you to focus on your application development and get your product to market (and hence revenue) faster.

Aimed primarily at Texas Instruments’ Davinci, Sitara & OMAP families, you will see that MPC Data have a range of products to suit the ARM9 and Cortex-A8 cores and hence provide a number of WinCE BSPs to support the various development platforms that customers are starting their designs on.

We are all witnessing the trend in Embedded designs moving to more powerful processor solutions and the need to move to High Level Operating Systems (HLOS), part of this trend also requires a stable, high quality BSP which enables the programmer to exploit the full range of the development board’s capabilities. The BSP provides the foundation for the overlying HLOS, and helps to ensure its overall speed and reliability.

MPC Data also provides a range of software application development services, with specialist teams at all levels of embedded software development. More recent developments have included sophisticated Medical, Video Security and Industrial projects for a worldwide customer base.

Neville Bulsara, MPC Data Business Development Manager, says “The BSPs compliment a range of products and services that we have for embedded device developers to start up their design teams much more quickly and effectively, thus allowing their application specialists to focus on their end product design rather than issues such as device drivers and frameworks – which often require different specialist knowledge to that which is available in house. We provide a complete embedded software design service – ranging from device drivers to complete applications development“
