Ho-Pin Tung and Jackie Chan DC Racing, sponsored by Mouser Electronics, have notched a second-straight FIA World Endurance Championship victory at the 6 Hours of Nürburgring. The win in Germany follows a historic victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 17 and 18 and marks the team’s third win of the season in the LMP2 class. The team opened the season with a first-place showing in the class at the 6 Hours of Silverstone.

Drivers Ho-Pin Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent once again proved unbeatable in the No. 38 car, extending their lead in the LMP2 team and driver classifications. Tung is tied with Jarvis and Laurent for first place with 116 points in the LMP2 Drivers standings.

Mouser has been a strong supporter of Tung since 2011 as he challenged himself to cross over in various motorsports, including the IndyCar Series and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The global distributor is once again participating in the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship season.

“With the win at Le Mans and now this finish on Germany’s notorious track, Ho-Pin is looking incredible this year,” said Todd McAtee, Mouser’s Vice President of Americas Business Development. “We congratulate him on this incredible win and on what is shaping up to be an extraordinary season.”

“After our dream week at Le Mans you would think it couldn’t get any better,” Tung said. “But what a fantastic weekend at the Nürburgring! I believe this race has been our strongest performance so far this year. It shows we keep on developing and improving as a team. Our first pole of the year and in every stint, for every driver, we were able to extend our lead during the race to take a commanding win and extend our championship lead.”

The FIA WEC season continues in Mexico City on September 3; Fuji, Japan, on October 15; and Shanghai on November 5. The 2017 season ends in Sakhir, Bahrain, on November 18.
