ON Semiconductor's NCL30051 PFC/Half-Bridge Combo Controller is optimized for off-line LED lighting solutions. The controller integrates all of the features needed to implement a highly efficient and small form factor LED Driver/Power Supply. It contains a critical conduction mode (CrM) power factor correction (PFC) boost controller and a half-bridge resonant controller with a built-in 600 V driver. The half-bridge stage of the NCL30051 PFC/Half-Bridge Combo Controller operates at a fixed frequency, greatly simplifying the control implementations.



ON Semiconductor's NCL30160 Constant-Current Buck Regulator is an NFET hysteretic step-down, constant-current driver for high power LEDs. It is ideal for automotive, industrial and general lighting applications utilizing the minimal external components. The NCL30160 Regulator operates with an input voltage range from 6.3V to 40V. The hysteretic control of this ON Semiconductor NCL30160 gives good power supply rejection and fast response during load transients and PWM dimming to LED arrays of varying number and type. Protection features include resistor-programmed constant LED current, broken/open LED protection, under-voltage and thermal shutdown.
