Molex to Demonstrate Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Expertise at Agritechnica
At this year’s Agritechnica the leading international exhibition for agricultural machinery and equipment – Molex Incorporated will introduce a range of interconnect products that meets demand for increased reliability, efficiency, environmental protection and safety. Molex invites visitors to the stand (Hall 01 Booth J315), where they can meet industry experts to discuss the latest product.
“Agricultural vehicles are becoming ever more complex with increased wiring requirements and demands for robust connection systems for data, signal and power,” says Ian Vanner, European Industry Manager for Commercial Vehicles at Molex. “At Agritechnica, we will exhibit products to meet these requirements and deliver solutions for flexible hybrid connectors for power and signal, high voltage and high current connectors for electrification and high speed data solutions.”
One of the focus products at Agritechnica is the Sealed Rectangular Connector (SRC) System, which is designed for high-circuit-count applications in harsh environments such as those found in agricultural machinery, construction and mining equipment. The SRC is a rugged, sealed wire-to-panel and wire-to-wire hybrid connection system and features MX150 and MX150L terminals.
“The primary location for our SRC system is the firewall connector, to connect the cab harness to the chassis harness, but it can also replace existing circular connectors in various applications,” said Denis O’Sullivan, Product Manager at Molex.
The HSAutoLink II™ Interconnect System delivers on the commercial vehicle industry’s need for multiple high-speed protocols in the same connector. Typical applications include telematic devices, radio and navigation systems and in-vehicle infotainment as well as meeting the rising demand for advance drive assist cameras used for obstruction warning, night vision or blind-spot information, 360-degree and rear view vision systems.
MAX-LOC® Plus Shielded Cord Grip Assemblies allow OEMs to connect high current directly to the application via the exterior mounting enclosure. The unique internal grip body cut-away design accommodates centre and offset lugs that allows for insertion of preassembled harnesses and pre-crimped lugs for simple assembly and field serviceability. Ideal for commercial vehicle applications, the robust assemblies provide excellent EMI and RFI shielding, IP67 and IP69k O-ring sealing protection meets SAE industry standards, and the internal grommet and the compression nut provide strain relief and cable retention to withstand 222.4 N pull force.
