Minicom Advanced Systems - a leading developer of IT & KVM remote access and management solutions, announced that Ohio's Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) has implemented Minicom's KVM IP and management solution, with immediate, gratifying results.
AAA7, which administers programs for older adults, needed to make changes to their existing IT system in order to save time and money. By deploying Minicom's IP KVM switches and gateways, AAA7 added remote IT management and gained redundant and remote BIOS level access to their networking equipment. In addition, AAA7 bought 11 APC PDUs that can be controlled over the network. The deployment of the Minicom AccessIT system added centralized, single sign-on access management of both the KVM and power functionality.

The AccessIT solution provides an easily accessible list of servers, along with IP addresses which simplifies management of our network. Should someone new come to the department, they can quickly and easily learn how our systems work, said Charlie Maillet, IT engineering and operations specialist for the Agency.

AccessIT is a Web-based remote access management solution that consolidates all access protocols to all IT assets into one interface, which simplifies the daily routines of IT staff and dramatically enhances the organization's IT efficiency and productivity.

Minicom's access management solution is very appealing because I can manage my whole network from my desk. They offered the most cost effective solution with the best technology to simplify management of our network. From the beginning, Minicom has been very helpful with designing a solution that meets our needs, and their technical support have been great. Overall, I am very satisfied with their service and solutions, said Maillet.
